A regular who became the owner
Jon Hall spent 28+ years in missile engineering before retiring and moving to Birmingham. He became a regular and liked the place so much he bought it, becoming majority owner on May 1, 2021.
Not a hard decision
Jon met Co-Owner and Manager Alan Graves at Overtime, and when Alan floated the idea of a buyout, Jon did what engineers do: he researched it thoroughly. As he puts it, "Overtime has such character with great staff and customers, it really wasn't a hard decision for me."

Alan's warmth and humor have shaped Overtime's personality from the start — his goal is to know every guest by name and send them home having shared great food and good times. He and his wife Victoria keep that welcoming energy going every single shift.
Food that earns the trip
The wings — bone-in or boneless, sauced and ready — are the thing guests talk about most, and the Mushroom Swiss Burger earns serious praise right alongside them. This is honest pub food done right, and it shows.
The vision, kept simple
Jon's plan for Overtime hasn't changed: great food, ice-cold beer, and staff who are taken care of so they can focus on taking care of you. There's always a seat and something good on.
